Fascinate-U is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994. Located in historical downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina, this hands-on museum has been a destination where children have been able to explore their world through creative role-playing for over two decades. It is the only science museum that fulfills the need for science education among the ten counties of the Cape Fear Region. Because of an increased need for science education in the schools, the Museum has grown to include not only on-site science programming but also outreach programs.
The museum is designed as a “mini-city” where children can pretend and play while learning about jobs in the community. Some of our exhibits are the Farm, the Army Fort, the Fire Station, the Post Office, the Grocery Store, the Stage Area and much more. In addition, we have a toddler room laid out as a mini-house for children under four.
We also feature two birthday party rooms, an art room, science room (2nd floor) and we host the Cape Fear Railroaders Association’s model train exhibit on our 3rd floor. Craft projects, science projects or special activities happen every weekend, so bring your children and let them discover new things the Fascinate-U way!
We strive to foster children’s imagination while developing their social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills through basic play. Here at Fascinate-U, we maintain one guiding principle…
