Unsung Heroes
Thank you so much to the group that came October 5th as part of Webster Works Worldwide Community Service Day! These fine people went to work painting, cleaning, and planting. Your hard work and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. Our plant beds now have beautiful flowers and some veggies. Plus, all the sea life in the Tot Room is much more colorful!
We're singing the praises of the Fayetteville Fire Department!! We're working on sprucing up the museum this fall and the Fire Department is chipping in. They stopped by this afternoon to re-paint our well used fire hydrant. That's right, kiddos! This is the REAL DEAL!! Authentic Fire Department paint and all!

Cheers to Joan Edwards for donating so much of her time to keep all the dress up clothes in the museum in working order. She'll walk in the door, toting the repaired tulle skirts, shortened Army dress uniforms and altered postal shirts. She hands them off, ready to take home her new box of projects, which seem to be never ending here. Mrs. Edwards is eager to please, artfully adding straps to dresses to make them easier to wear. She's even offered to fix Little Stuffie for us, thus allowing us to do more outreach to students who can benefit from Stuffie's lessons on eating healthy.

Cheers to Kent John for donating his Eagle Scout Project of flower and herb beds to Fascinate-U! The flower beds are not only beautiful, they are equipped with proper construction and drainage that will create the best environment possible for the flowers and herbs.
