Little Beakers

Does your little one love science? Explore foundational science concepts with games, storytimes, and new experiments each class.

 

Little Beakers science programs nurture preschoolers' natural curiosity, build critical thinking skills, and develop a life long love of learning.

​

These biweekly science programs are designed for 3-5 year olds with a parent or caregiver. Registration is $15 per child and their caregiver per class, includes all day admission to the museum. 

Members receive $10 off registration. Additional children are $5 each. 

Upcoming Programs: 

March 18th: 10am-11:30am Little Beakers: Polymer Play

Discover molecular magic for preschoolers! This week’s experiments have us learning chemistry through play and experimentation. We’ll make our own edible slime and create swirling rainbow colors with magic moving milk.

April 1st: 10am-11:30am Little Beakers: States of Matter

Discover the magic of chemistry with this preschool class including an interactive storytime, hands-on experiments, and a chance to explore liquids, solids, and gases. Come dressed to get messy, if you’d like the chance to walk on oobleck (a squishy non-newtonian liquid)!

April 15th: 10am-11:30am Little Beakers: Amazing Air

Explore the power of air with hands-on experiments that expand, float, vacuum, and more! This preschool science class will include an interactive storytime, exciting experiments, and a take-home ball blower craft

April 29th: 10am-11:30am Little Beakers: Spring Sprouts

Discover the science of seeds as preschoolers explore how seeds travel, grow, and feed our world! Dissect a seed, explode a giant bean pod, and take home a DIY “Chia Pet.”

May 6th: 10am-11:30am Little Beakers: Bubble-ology

Float, sparkle, and pop with a fun hands-on class, exploring the science of bubbles. We’ll make giant bubbles, bouncing bubbles, rainbow bubbles and more!
